I feel like Turkish Cinema has always been sort of a joke with all those really really bad remakes they made in the 70s and 80s but Nuri Bilge Ceylan and Gökhan Tiryaki working together have made some of the most beautiful films Ive ever seen. This is the first Turkish film I ever saw and it led to me checking out a whole lot of not so good stuff. These two working together cannot be beat though. It this film Climates there are these incredible shots of this beach (seen in the picture) and then later on some pretty great stuff in snow. I can’t stress enough how much people really should check out this film and their latest one Three Monkeys. I wish I fuckin shot that. I wish I could shoot anything even close to the stuff these two do.
